Listening to NPR this morning, I wasn’t surprised to learn that data privacy is a huge focal point at this year’s South by Southwest event.
From speakers and panels at SxSW addressing why and how app developers should anonymize data, to a more aspirational discussion of digital ethics, the shift away from complete personal exposure and toward individual control of a digital footprint is clear. But full control of personal data and identity requires more than app developers and websites anonymizing datasets.
In many situations, companies must collect, store and use personal data to serve individual customers and employees. With increased concern over identity theft, unwanted commercial targeting and inappropriate exposure of personal information, the need to ensure strong privacy risk management is clearer than ever.
In celebration of SxSW, OCEG is offering a free infographic on Privacy Risk Management and Compliance, which we have developed together with TRUSTe. Download the infographic here. And click here to view the webinar.
